Stephanie Larason
Stephanie Larason is our Director of Sales Outreach. If you’ve tasted a sample of Taza Chocolate in New England, there’s a good chance you’ve met Stephanie. You’d recognize her by her jet-black hair and genuine, affectionate smile. She’s a former artisan soapmaker, photography teacher, and wine events planner. And she’s been a fierce devotee of Taza ever since her first bite in December 2007 (of Vanilla Bean Chocolate Mexicano on a brisk, starlit night as she remembers vividly). When not out plying the masses with chocolate, she can be found frequenting the local music scene, obsessively thrifting, and trying not to fall off her new bike. Her son, Gabriel, thinks of Taza as a food group.
Laura Céré
Laura Céré is our brilliant office manager at Taza. She grew up in the long grass of Delhaven, Nova Scotia with the ocean across the street and the mountains at her back. Though a native of Canada, Laura has lived in several of America’s greatest cities, including New York and New Orleans. She’s a talented and passionate photographer, currently at work on a series of Cambridge family portraits and a photo essay on Pre- and Post-Katrina New Orleans. On a good day, Laura can still summon up her French-Canadian, and sink a jump-shot from fifteen feet off. Outside of the Taza Chocolate factory, Laura spends her time with her family, raising three beautiful children.
Sara Ossi
Sara Ossi is our star salesperson. She’s a proud alumna of Williams College in western Massachusetts where she studied chemistry, a pursuit not irrelevant to a job in chocolate. Sara moved to the Boston area after graduating and began work at the esteemed architecture firm Moshe Safdie & Associates. In the fall of 2007, she visited Taza for a tour of the factory and found herself intrigued by what she saw and tasted. Six months later, Sara left behind the drafting tables and building schematics to join the team at Taza, because “it tastes better than architecture.” During off hours, you’ll find Sara at one of Boston’s popular trivia nights, or perhaps making home improvements to her Cambridge apartment.
Aaron Foster
Aaron Foster is the is the Customer Experience Manager Taza Chocolate. He grew up in Philadelphia watching PBS staples like the Frugal Gourmet and Yan Can Cook on Sunday mornings. At St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD, Aaron studied philosophy and literature, all the while working as a cheesemonger at the local shop. Shortly after graduating in 2003, he moved to Italy to study gastronomy at the Università di Scienze Gastronomiche near Turin. One year later and back in the US, Aaron came on as the buyer for Artisanal Premium Cheese in New York City. Later, he was hired by Whole Foods to help develop a cheese cave and beer room in their Bowery store. Aaron moved to Cambridge in the summer of 2008 and began work with Taza shortly thereafter. During his off hours, he can be found cooking vegetables from his CSA, making homemade pickles, brewing beer, and curing meat.
