What kind of sugar do you use in your chocolate?

How should I store Taza Chocolate?

Chocolate is heat sensitive. The best spot to store chocolate is in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong ambient smells. A sealable bag in a cool cupboard or pantry is your best bet if storing for a longer time period. If stored in the refrigerator or freezer, chocolate may pick up smells, experience condensation, or become "bloomed" (brittle in texture and covered with chalky white splotches).

Shipping

Will my order melt if it's hot out?

We take every precaution to make sure your chocolate arrives in perfect condition! When the weather gets warm we will pack your order with an ice pack and insulation. We recommend that you choose a shipping address where your package will be received immediately, so it will not be sitting outside in the warm weather. When it's simply too hot, we will hold your package until the weather cools off to a safe shipping temperature.

How long do tour experiences last?

Our Intro to Stone Ground Chocolate Experiences are approximately an hour long pending questions and chocolate tasting interest.

What can I expect to see or do on the tour experience?

During your visit, we'll start of in our Cocoa Corner where you'll learn about our history, Taza's Direct Trade sourcing methods, and what how cocoa is grown and processed before it even gets to our door! Then, we'll check look directly into our manufacturing spaces from our factory store and you'll learn about our unique stone ground chocolate making process. We sample lots of chocolate along the way, but we'll wrap the whole experience up with a guided tasting led by your awesome Chocolate Guide!

What can I do if I can't make it on a tour experience?

You can still visit our Factory Store! It features large windows that look into the factory, and our knowledgeable Chocolate Guides are happy to tell you about our chocolate making process. We also have lots of samples available in the store!

Do you allow strollers on The Factory Store/tour experience?

Yes. We can accommodate strollers in our space.
