Taza Coffee Liqueur

There’s something extra special about a handmade gift, and making it is half the fun. Use Taza Roasted Cacao Nibs to create a homemade coffee liqueur with a chocolatey twist. In a pretty bottle with a handwritten label, it makes a very welcome gift, but you might want to make an extra batch to keep all for yourself.

Ingredients:

1 cup coffee beans, cracked with a frying pan
1 vanilla bean, split
1/4 cup Taza Roasted Cacao Nibs
1- 1 inch strip of orange peel
1 cup sugar
750 ml white rum
1/4 cup dark rum

To Prepare:

Combine all ingredients in a glass container, seal with a lid and let stand for 1 week. Strain, then pour into one or more clean containers, and either seal tightly for gift giving, or chill and serve.
