  • Take a tour of the Taza Chocolate Factory

The finally sun is out and it’s time to explore! Venture over to Somerville and join us on a public tour for Intro to Stone Ground Chocolate. Learn about the origins of cacao, where Taza sources cacao beans, and all about our unique stone ground chocolate-making process from bean-to-bar. You’ll get to check out our factory and view our chocolate-making machines, while enjoying lots of yummy stone ground chocolate samples along the way! Recommended for children ages 10 and up due to the educational focus. Reservations are required. Tours are offered 7 days a week, and book quickly on vacation week. Book your spot today!

Visit the Boston Public Market and see what spring has in store! At the Taza Chocolate Bar, we’re celebrating the start of iced chocolate season with Taza fan faves like the Orange-You-Glad, a refreshing chocolate drink featuring sunny orange and sweet vanilla. Pair your drink with locally-made cinnamon sugar churros from Commonwealth Kitchen or savory veggie empanadas from our friends at Buenas. Tour the market to find all the fixings for a picnic and take to the Rose Kennedy Greenway for lunch in the sun, followed by a stroll or a spin around the famous Greenway Carousel. Don’t forget! The Haymarket Center Garage upstairs is just $1/hour for up to three hours when you get validated inside the market.

We’ll be hosting Dean's Beans Organic Coffee Company for an Earth Day Coffee tasting in the Factory Store. Based in Western Massachusetts, Dean’s Beans uses high quality specialty coffee as a vehicle for progressive change throughout the coffeelands of Asia, Africa and the Americas.

Everyone loves chocolate, right? But how many people actually know where chocolate comes from? How it’s made? Or that monkeys do their part to help this delicious sweet exist? Join the Taza team for a reading of No Monkeys, No Chocolate, an illustrated children’s book by Melissa Stewart, that explores the interdependence of the plants and animals in the tropical rain forests. The reading will be followed by a hot chocolate tasting. Recommended for children ages 6-12. Sunday, April 23rd 10:30 - 11:00am. Free to attend, but space is limited. Please reserve your spot here.
