Chocolate Dulce de Leche Pie

If you’ve never had dulce de leche, fix that immediately. This traditional South American treat is a combination of milk and sugar that has been slowly cooked until the sugars caramelize, producing a thick, creamy, caramel flavored spread. You can certainly make your own dulce de leche, recipes abound online. Or you can purchase it, which makes this indulgent, company-worthy no-bake tart super quick and easy.

Yields 1 pie

Ingredients:

1 cup graham cracker crumbs
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 Taza 70% Deliciously Dark Amaze Bar, chopped
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 bananas, sliced
14 ounces dulce de Leche (available by the jar at specialty stores, or find a recipe
online to make from scratch)
Whipped cream, for topping

To Prepare:

1. Mix together graham cracker crumbs and butter and press into a pie tin.

2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt together chocolate and heavy cream until smooth, then pour into pie crust. Top chocolate with sliced bananas, then pour dulce de leche over the bananas. Let set overnight in the fridge, then top with whipped cream and serve.
