2023 Partner Report: ÖKO Caribe

Our longtime partner ÖKO Caribe, a processor of cacao beans in the central region of the Dominican Republic, was less impacted by 2022's Hurricane Fiona than our other cacao grower partner in the DR, Finca Elvesia. They had a strong production year in 2023 until the crop slowed way down near the end of the large harvest period. Production is expected to be reduced over the coming year driven by El Nino weather patterns, but we look forward to continuing our partnership.
