School Vacation Week With Taza!

February 20th- 24th is school vacation week and we’ve got a lot action keep you busy! Join Taza for a full schedule of fun, chocolate-fueled vacation week happenings.

  • Take a tour of the Taza Chocolate Factory

    There’s no better reason to venture out on a snowy day in February than a visit to your local chocolate factory! Join us for a tour to learn about the origins of chocolate, where Taza sources cacao beans, and all about our unique stone ground chocolate-making process from bean-to-bar. You’ll get to check out our factory and view our chocolate-making machines, while enjoying lots of yummy stone ground chocolate samples along the way! Recommended for those ages 10 and up due to the educational focus. Reservations are required. Tours are offered 7 days a week, and book quickly on vacation week. Book your spot today!

    • Check out the Taza Chocolate Bar at the Boston Public Market

      Visit the Boston Public Market to explore some of the best local food the city has to offer! At the Taza Chocolate Bar, we grind freshly roasted cacao beans and whip up chocolate drinks to order. Check out our molinos and get cozy with a custom-made hot chocolate, topped with a Sweet Lydia’s  vanilla marshmallow or fresh whipped cream. Pair your drink with a warm churro produced by our pals at Commonwealth Kitchen or savory veggie empanadas from the folks at Buenas. Is that not the perfect vacation week snack? Pro-tip: The Haymarket Center Garage upstairs is just $1/hour for up to three hours when you validate inside market.

        Join the Taza team for a FREE reading of "Grandma's Chocolate//El Chocolate de Abuelita" by Mara Price. This charming bilingual picture book depicts a loving relationship between grandmother and granddaughter as they share the stories and customs of Mexico. Hot chocolate will be served.           We are bringing the classic American popover to the Taza Chocolate Factory for a mid-week tasting. Who doesn’t love a popover? Whether you're looking for a midday snack or a great pairing for your hot chocolate, these goodies cannot be beat. Free to Attend.

          • Chocolate Grinding Demo in the KITCHEN at the Boston Public Market

          Friday, February 24th | 2:00PM - 3:00PM
          Join us for a hands-on demonstration in the KITCHEN to experience stone ground chocolate starting with the cocoa beans. We will use a metate to hand-grind cacao beans and cane sugar to create a simple stone ground chocolate together!
