In March, as we celebrate the kick-off of our #sourcingseason and usher in the spring, our thoughts turn to the warm tropical climates that bring us the magical cacao fruit. Our Cocoa Sourcing Manager, Jesse Last, will pack his bags for an annual visit to each cocoa producer we work with, as a way to build on our relationship and secure seriously good cocoa beans for a busy chocolate-making year ahead.
While we wish we could join him on his tour of cacao country to walk the farms and sample fresh fruit from the trees, we’ll be celebrating the cocoa bean in its many forms right here ....It’s Taza’s Beantown SpringBreak!

Swing by for a mocktail made from the fruit of the cacao tree! There will also be an Origin Bar tasting to experience the unique flavor notes of chocolate made with beans from Taza’s different cacao sources in Bolivia, Belize, Dominican Republic and Haiti. Keep the spring vibe going by prepping for your own planting season by picking up a bag of cacao mulch to nourish your soil - we only make this available to the public once a year, so make sure to grab a bag or two for your pots and gardens!
Drop by the factory any day in March to sample and shop Origin Bars at a special price of 2 for $12. You can also check out our selection of MEM teas made with Taza nibs and cacao shells: 2 for $15, all month long!
